Looking for a quaint, unique place to eat in Spring Hill? Check out my favorite restaurant

There are many options of places to eat or grab a drink in Spring Hill, but nothing comes close to Circa in Thompson Station. My husband and I attended their grand opening years ago and from start to finish they didn't disappoint! We would make Circa our weekly date night( and  if we were still in Spring Hill, we would still be going.) We were the ones during quarantine that was still supporting them by taking out and going across the street to Preservation Park and eating in the car.

Nestled across from the old post office and train depot this quaint place was once a general store. When you walk in, you feel like you are walking into a saloon. The history that is in those walls is just intriguing to me.

What makes them different? Lets start with you being greeted by the owners. They personally check on you throughout your entire visit as well. The drinks are A-MAZING! All unique blends to give you a yummy cocktail. I love the Flannery and my husband always gets the Fork at The Station. Lets get to the appetizers.. As their menu changes, my favorites change.. But their crab cakes and baked brie cheese is so good and full of flavor! Their dinners just never disappoint. Hugh portions fill the plate. The hardest decision for me is what to get, because I always want it all. Maybe they need a sample platter? :)  Saving the best for last.. THE DESSERT.. I am a bread pudding junkie. They always offer bread pudding in different flavors throughout the season. Of course my husband always gets the skillet cookies they offer.

Did I mention they woodfire many of their dishes? Did I also mention they grow many of their herbs and some veggies in their garden? After eating with them, you will never go to a chain restaurant again.

Being a small business owner it is my goal to support many others. I am a tough critic so when I really enjoy the food and service, I become a customer for life!

Circa is a great place for a date night, but they do offer brunch on Sundays and during the summers they have bands that play outside. They occasionally offer wine pairings as well.  I know Covid has changed so much lately, but hopefully things will get back to normal so these great events can continue. I really hope you all check this hidden gem out and love it as much as I do?

check out to view their menu!
